Sangiovese is grown on property and used as a
primary ingredient in our Amante®- Super Tuscan Red Wine. During certain years when our Sangiovese is
particularly good, we decided to produce Vintner Reserve Sangiovese bottles
exclusively for Wine Club Members. These
wines are all medium bodied and can be compared to some of the best Chianti’s
and Brunello’s that you may find. Sangiovese
is a great wine to pair with many Italian pasta dishes as well as duck.
2012
Vintner’s Reserve Sangiovese
This special Vintner’s Reserve wine was specially
treated and produced to show the quality of Sangiovese from our estate
vineyard. This wine is medium bodied
with wonderful fruit flavors and a slight tobacco taste on the finish. Our Sangiovese pairs well with pasta, veal,
pork, and duck dishes.
2017
Vintner’s Reserve Sangiovese
This special Estate
Grown Vintner’s Reserve wine was made from selected barrels. The wine is medium to heavy bodied with
wonderfully rich flavors of plum, cherry, and spice with an elegant
finish. This wine also has an earthiness
to it that makes it taste slightly “old world” in flavor. It pairs well with pasta, veal, pork, and
duck dishes.
